Now is this a study of pure concentration or what? Look at the eyes how serious they are. The red cheeks from blowing so hard. The glasses are steaming up from the effort. Here I thought she would consider it a dumb toy and throw it away or give it to the grandchildren. I never realized such a small thing would bring such great pleasure.

Have a nice day everyone.

Today is Christmas day and Cheryl made me get up so we could open presents. I thought with the children gone I could sleep in but their mother had other ideas. Her reason for getting up early? So when the kids call we can tell them how much we liked the presents they gave us; and we did. I am going to try and post a video of what we did with our $10 gifts for each other. We laughed quite a bit over what we did. Here goes:

Cheryl decided to do the same thing with the video so here is her gifts to me.

Foam I owe you an apology... a major apology. I apologize for using your real name in one of my posts. I never stopped to think you might not like someone doing that. I am so sorry.

Well today we are having an old fashioned Idaho blizzard. The wind is blowing like crazy and the snow is coming down. Cheryl and I are just burrowing in like some of these crazy squirrels outside should be doing. We have no where to go and I am sure the roads are an absolute mess. So if any of you are traveling during a storm please, please be careful.

Have a nice day everyone.

Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope this week is a very enjoyable one for all of you.

Sorry for not posting for a while but busy, busy, busy. I won't have any excuses from now until the end of January. The school district makes me take the month of January off, which I don't completely understand, but they make the rules.

Foam, my friend, before I forget I did not get any email so try again. I never look in the spam folder I just delete everything. I think I did see something from Diana and just thought it was another of those emails wanting my body and etc. Boy would they be in for a surprise. My friend, Diana, has this fixation with boobs and draws pictures of them all the time. Not that I mind since she keeps them lifted up and pointy. Must be a NC thing.

This morning is an interesting morning. Thanks to Pamela and all those Washington people, plus the Canadians, we now have lots and lots of snow. I got up around 4:30 am to see what the weather was doing and it was just flaking a little. By 8:00 am we had about 8 inches and more pouring down. The little finches and juncos are flitting around the feeder trying to uncover what food they can find. The squirrels just holed up and said the heck with it all.

Did I mention what Cheryl and I are doing for Christmas this year? Since we have no family close enough to come to our place, or for us to go to their place, we decided to take $10 and go to the dollar store to get presents for one another. It should be very interesting. Actually I think what I got her is neat, funny and... welllllllll, let's just stick with neat and funny. I will post about her reactions on Christmas day.

Our daughter, Leslie, and her family were here for a visit this past Saturday and Sunday and we really enjoyed it. Our granddaughter, Rylie, is a hoot and kept me laughing most of the time.

Guess I better close before anyone reading this falls asleep and hurts themselves by banging their head on something. Cheryl is setting behind me sewing plus talking on the telephone with another daughter and they are breaking my concentration. I think I will go take a nap and let the irritation pass.:))

Have a nice day everyone.

A cheery good morning to one and all. My song for this morning is "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, snow is everywhere." Yep, we have snow and lots of it. It is cold, cold, cold and more snow expected today.

Just returned from a 400 mile trip with the wrestlers. While in Nephi, UT I walked into the gym to watch for about an hour. When I walked back out there was a raging blizzard going on. Needless to say when we finally left for home the roads were icy and slick with the average speed about 40-45 mph. Fun, fun, fun. The bus driver we had was an excellent, handsome, witty man and we never worried one bit with him behind the wheel.:))

Just read Foam's blog about the furnace breaking down. It never happens during the summer time for some reason. Hope all is well now. All that baking made me hungry however. Nothing like the smell of fresh baking to fill the house especially on a cold day.

Not much to say this morning. Just had a nice cup of hot chocolate, a yummy breakfast, a kiss from a beautiful woman so life is good here.

Now I have to pay the bills so the day is heading south in a hurry.

Have a nice day everyone.

Just a quick note today. I was reading Pamela's blog and laughing so hard that my sides hurt. If you have no idea who Pamela is you should go and visit her blog. I would publish what her blog is but I can't seem to remember it since I have it bookmarked. I will get it and post it later.

Anyway Pam has a certain attraction to farts. Recently she published an embarrassing moment she had with her flatulence problem and it was hilarious. Now she has published about how she tried to get back at her teasing dentist only to have her fart machine backfire on her. Pam, Pam, Pam. You are such a hoot. Reminds me of the time our doctor in Idaho Falls, ID pulled a similar prank on Cheryl. He had a remote controlled fart machine that he placed in the room where Cheryl was waiting to be examined. The nurse was the one who actually activated the machine and she waited until the doctor was in there and just beginning his examination. That machine went off and both the doctor's and my eyes went wide as we looked at Cheryl. It was so realistic that she went red as a beet and I made the comment, "Cheryl, that is very unlady like." It only took a second for her to figure out what was happening and we all got a good laugh. Nice to have a sense of humor once in a while.

Pamela also posted asking what our favorite Christmas music is. I have to admit I love any and all Christmas music. Some of my favorites are: LeRoy, Rudolph's cousin (can't remember the exact name of the title.) White Christmas, Blue Christmas, All I Want For Christmas Are My Two Front Teeth, Here Comes Santa Claus, oh shucks any of the oldies but goodies. Religious music I like it all. The First Noel, Angels We Have Heard On High, Christmas Bells, Oh Little Town of Bethlehem and the list goes on.

Cheryl just finished singing in the Madrigal Choir, The Forgotten Carol Choir and now she and I both are singing in the church choir. She loves singing and so do I although my work schedule makes it very hard to attend some of the practices.

I will never forget attending church as a kid and my adopted father with two other men were singing as a trio in church. My adopted father got up and announced the song this way. "We will now murder the Angel From On High." and they did.

Got to go. Hope everyone is doing okay.

Have a nice day everyone.

Ho,ho,ho,ho. I love this time of season. I don't care for the presents and all that kind of stuff but I do love the music, the atmosphere with the lights and etc.

Pam, I got a kick out of your granddaughter picture. I think every one of us has done that at some time in our life. I love olives and she would have had a fight on her hands just to get that many for the fingers.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I hope you got to spend time with family or doing what you wanted.

This year was a first for Cheryl and I. The kids live so far away that it was not feasible for them to come to our house or for us to go to theirs. The one daughter that lives closest to us spends Thanksgiving with her in laws which is all right. Soooooo, Cheryl and I decided to take in a movie and then go to a buffet for dinner. The movie was very good but when we got to the buffet place it closed its doors just as we pulled up. Needless to say we had Thanksgiving dinner at the local truck stop and it was not that good. Oh well.

Last night we had a bunch of friends over for a small get together. The occasion, one set was leaving for St. George, Utah for the winter, the big sissies. We had a good time though and I know they will miss me especially.:))

Keeping this short today. Cheryl has many, many projects for me to do. Oh how I miss working. Keep smiling everyone.

Have a nice day.
